Scorpion Brand New Day Week: Decks for Weekend Missions

Here are a variety of decks you can quickly grab to clear this week's Weekend Missions!

Season Pass: Spider-Man Brand New Day

Honestly, this guy fits pretty much anywhere. One of his top-performing decks is just the already-strong Rocks Tempo deck with Spidey jammed in.

If you're missing Tarantula, replace him with Iron Patriot.

If you'd rather play something with a bit of synergy, Spidey buffs Galactus's herald and Isca (who can double the buff), slides in or out of the Prof. X lane, and can fill the Thing's lane on Turn 5 then un-fill it on Turn 6.

Finally, a budget option for players with lower CL.

Series 5: Scorpion Brand New Day

Big Scorpion's doubling effect has proven strong, thanks in part to Luke Cage no longer protecting the back row.

This greedy build is pretty good and super fun. Use Ancient One to amplify Scorpion's ability and you're looking at every affliction on your enemies getting amplified to x4 or x6!

Play it safe with some classic Affliction. Just be careful to put Anti-Venom's target in the front row now!

If you're missing Horse Polaris, Mysterio's a decent swap (just keep the real Mysterio in the front row!).

Finally, you can take to Grand Arena with this deck from August. Cap’s Skill will always pull Scorpion if it’s in deck, and Arena gives you the spare Energy to set up some big Affliction combos.

Both Cards!

Spidey BND and Boomerang generally don't overlap, but this deck uses my second-favorite Big Scorp move (after Tao Mandala): double Omega Sentinel.

Spidey is genuinely helpful here as a way to position Prodigy (that's also why Sam's here). You have two main win cons:

  • Lots of Omega Sentinel hits (which can win without Scorpion)
  • fewer, smaller hits + Scorpion to amplify

The other route is Move Afflict, which seems viable, even if it's worse than either of its component archetypes.

Surprising nobody, I'd go a little greedier with this: Jocasta, Xorn, or Diamondback over Cosmo.
