Zombie Blade: Decks & Tips for the New Card

Blade is a Vampire. Blade is a Zombie. Blade is a Zombie and a Vampire! He already walked the line between two worlds, now he's walking between three! But how many Marvel Snap archetypes can he blend? Here is everything I want to try with the new Zombie Blade card!

Zombie Blade is a 2-Cost, 3-Power card that can feed a point of Power from your opponent’s hand to your Horde each turn. ZB has a theoretical contribution of 10 Points of Power (without anything like extra turns, Invisible Woman First Steps, or a free card played with him on Turn 2). Of course, he could contribute as low as 5-6 if your opponent doesn't play out the Afflicted cards or you miss a Turn with an On Reveal. Playing a 2-Cost card for 5-10 Power won't cut it. However, those points all fuel a Horde and there are plenty of ways to further leverage Horde points!

Ways to Further Leverage Horde Points

Zombie Giant Man

This deck is chock full of On Reveal cards and Grandmaster and Absorbing Man mean we have plenty of opportunity to magnify the Zombie Blade points.

Arnim Zola

When we're trying to tunnel in on a giant Horde as much as this deck wants to, those Zombie Blade ticks can add up.

Death FF

Re-revival

We can use the new Zombie Venom card and Death FF to bring back a bunch of Horde generators or multiple Hordes!

Venus

Venus can make all those extra points double up again, and again, and again.

Strange Witches

Venus and Zombie Blade can account for a boatload of additional points. Also, there's something satisfying about feeding your Horde to Strange over and over again.

Is He Worth It?

His point contribution is small, but there is a chance he fights his way into Horde decks simply because there are so few cards with the keyword available in the game. An extra point on your Horde might feel small, but it can really add up, especially when Zombie Giant Man comes down to magnify the effect. If you love Zombies or Horde cards, go ahead and grab him to see if you can get enough value out of him. If you don't, he's an easy skip.

Once enough data has accumulated, you can see what kinds of decks Zombie Blade is finding success in over on SnapComplete.
