What to do with Spider-Man: Brand New Day
Here are all of the exciting things to try with the new Season Pass card!
In celebration of the Brand New Day movie, we’re getting a brand new Spider-Man card in the Season Pass and it’s going to be the best 1-Cost card in the game! Spider-Man is our first card that can explicitly move twice and he buffs face down cards! Yeah, he’s real good! Here’s everything I’m excited to try with Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

Fun Playlines and Partners
With both buff and move, it's clear Spider-Man: BND is a solid 1-Cost for a variety of decks. He represents a ton of value for his cost. Here are just a few of the fun play sequences available.

Spider-Man ⇨ Lizard ⇨ Wilson Fisk ⇨ move Spider-Man back out + Techno-Organic Virus
Brood ⇨ Move Spider-Man in to buff them all (or get a location-filling bonus) ⇨ Move Spider-Man back out
Move Spider-Man into face down Professor X lane ⇨ Move Spider-Man back out if you don’t need his Power
Zombie Scarlet Witch ⇨ Spider-Man ⇨ Move Spider-Man to Buff your Horde
Move Spider-Man into Captain Carter lane with face down Stick or Maverick
Scosco's Day One Spider-Man: BND Decks
Zombie Venus
I love the way Spider-Man can move out of the way after being played onto Scarlet Witch, but still provide extra value when you move him away. He's a strict upgrade for this deck over Nightcrawler.
Prof X Prison
The positioning flexibility Spider-Man provides alongside total control over, means he's an upgrade over even 4-Power Hydra Bob in several decks.
Carter Mav Combo
The sequencing of face down cards is key to getting the most out of Spider-Man:BND. Move him into a Carter lane the same turn you play a Stick or Maverick to position things how you need, while also guaranteeing a valuable buff wherever it lands.
TOV War Machine
Spider-Man:BND is a dream card for Punisher: War Machine. You can play your SM:BND in an off lane and then move him into the PWM lane to get the extra Energy from Turn 2. Spider-Man provides valuable extra points for the points-oriented ToV package.
Is He Worth It?
If you don’t always grab the Season Pass, you’re probably going to want to go out of your way to get this one. Spider-Man is going to be the de facto 1-drop in the game and he’s going to be a prominent part of lists you find from your favorite content creators. He is somewhat replaceable, he’s just a 1-Cost card after all, but he’ll be the optimal one in so many lists.
