Vampire America Chavez: Decks & Tips for the New Card

A revamped run of Deadpool's Diner runs from October 27 to November 3 and our final Vampire card is available for free! Here's everything I'm excited to try with this free Series 4 card!

Barring any Grandmaster or other shenanigans Vampire America Chavez maxes out as a 3/7 body. Counting the stolen Power, she could be worth up to 10 points. Not bad for a 3-Cost, but in the current era of Marvel Snap there are plenty of beefy 3-Cost cards to choose from, many of which can reliably account for more points than VAC. Her best hope is to lean into her role as a sidekick to the newly released Vampire Deacon Frost and the synergy as a Power-stealer.

Friends to Get Ahead

I say she can be worth up to 10 Points and be a 3/7 on board, but getting ahead in all three locations is pretty hard, especially if you're trying to do it by turn 3. Here are a few cards that can help her hit her max Power more reliably.

One type of card that Techno-Organic Virus decks like is an On Reveal that serves its purpose and can then be hit with the Virus. It's unlikely VAC is good enough to make the list of 12 in a TOV deck, but perhaps we can brew a fun hybrid.

Is She Worth It?

She's free, so as long as you don't hate the LTGM, she's definitely worth acquiring. As for whether she's worth deck spot in a Vampire Deacon Frost deck, that's a tougher question. When I was putting together the Deacon Frost card preview, I found myself including her surprisingly often. She's not a particularly powerful card, but with how few stealing options there are, she's at least worth a look in a stealing-matters deck that puts out early Power. That's a pretty narrow niche though, so I don't have particularly high hopes for her play and win rates. She has a use, but get her for free so you don't end up paying for her or pulling her later.
