Event Economy: Tips & Tricks
Here is a collection of information, tips, and tricks that apply to the various events of Marvel Snap. 💡Tips will be called out like this to make this page easy to skim. Tickets It costs one Ticket to start a game in these modes (Sanctum Showdown Tickets are called “Scrolls”

Early Access

Fourth Location subscribers had early access to the full economy guide until the event was ~48 hours old.

Your support makes all this possible. If you like what we’re doing and have the ameans, please consider signing up! Full access to early and exclusive content starts at just $4 a month. Big thanks to our subscribers. 🩵

Grand Prizes

The Free Pass contains the new card, Stick! It’ll enter Series 4 in a month. He looks really fun if you’re into passing along buffs!

The Premium Pass contains this exclusive Stick Variant by System Studios. The black tee and tufts of hair change everything.

Tickets

It costs a Ticket to play a game of Team Clash. You’ll get the Ticket back if you win. Winning will also reward 10 Emblems + XP. Losing or tying rewards 5 of each.

Getting that Ticket refunded makes your win rate important! More tickets means more games, which translate into more Charms and XP. It’s also important to have enough games to knock out your Missions!

Starting Tickets: 6
Regenerating Tickets: 4 every 8 hours
Tickets Soft Cap: 9 (you cannot regenerate beyond this)
Tickets Hard Cap: 99 (you cannot have more than this)
Free Pass Tickets: 20
Premium Pass Tickets: 27
Total Free Tickets: 106
Total Premium Tickets: 133
Single Ticket Cost: 10 Gold
Ticket Bundle Cost: 7 for 50 Gold

Mind the soft cap! I recommend that you never collect Tickets from the Passes or Shop unless you are ready to play a game but out of Tickets.

Missions

Team Clash is unique among events because it uses both Tickets and Missions to bottleneck your progress.

Team Clash's Missions grant 20, 40, or 60 Emblems and XP.

  • Starting Missions: 6
  • Regenerating Missions: 3 every 8 hours
  • Missions Cap: 6 (you cannot have more than this)
  • Total Missions: 66
  • Total Mission Emblems + XP: 2,640
  • Single Mission Cost: 30 Gold

Last time, they removed Missions requiring you to win with specific teams. Here’s hoping that change still applies!

Passes

The Premium Pass costs 800 Gold and comes with the following prizes whenever you buy it:

  • 1,150 XP
  • 2 Tickets
  • 1 Rainbow Refraction Border

Here's everything you can find on each Pass (Premium instant rewards listed at 0 XP):

Premium Value

In terms of progress value (resources that help you acquire cards), this Premium Pass falls in line with all recent events at 63.42% value.

If you’re focused on optimizing for acquiring Series 4 and 5 cards, the Premium Pass is a bad buy.

It can be a great buy if you want to…

  • Skip the mode without skipping Stick
  • Grab more cosmetics from the event
  • Acquire Series 3 cards

The instant XP from the Premium Pass will get you Stick without playing a single game.

Alternatively, if you want to play the mode, the Premium Pass includes 2,200 extra Emblems for you to spend in the Shop on cosmetics or Snap Packs.

Time Investment

This event will feel very comparable to other recent events. As long as you’re clearing Missions, you can easily finish the Pass for free (even with a low win rate).

With a 50% win rate, the Premium Pass will save you ~47 games if you just want Stick, or ~49 games if you want to complete the Pass.

Shop

Here's everything you can spend Emblems on in the Shop!

Gold prices come from either in-game or Snap.Fan data mines.

Of the Variants in the shop:

  • Gladiator is Series 4
  • Maria Hill, Venom, and Dagger are Series 3

Matching avatars for this event’s exclusive Variants are missing again, just like the Sanctum Showdown Surge from earlier this month.

Each Portal Pull will randomly give you one of these three Variants you don't have yet:

Shop Priorities

You’ll need to decide for yourself how important any of the cosmetics are to you. If you want to optimize for progress value (card acquisition), here’s how you should prioritize your prizes. Ellipses represent big gaps in value differences.

  1. Gladiator (unowned base card) in 1 pull
  2. Gladiator (unowned base card) in 2 pulls
  3. Credits
  4. Series 3 Pack
  5. Dagger (unowned base card)
  6. Maria/Venom (unowned base card) in 1 pull
  7. Gladiator (unowned base card) in 3 pulls
  8. Collector's Series 4 Pack
  9. Maria/Venom (unowned base card) in 2 pulls
  10. Maria/Venom (unowned base card) in 3 pulls
  11. All other Variants

Spending Gold

If you try to buy anything in the Shop that you don’t have enough Emblems for, you can spend Gold to cover the difference. It's not the best use of Gold, but if it's right for you, make sure to prioritize which items to buy with Gold. Each item in the shop uses a different Emblems-to-Gold conversion rate (higher “Emblems / 100 Gold" in the above Shop tables is better).

Expected Emblems

If you stop playing as soon as you complete the Pass, you’ll have 5,200 Emblems from the Free Pass alone, or 6,250 if you have the Premium Pass.

The table below shows how many Emblems you can expect to have if you spend every Ticket and clear every Mission (based on whether you bought the Premium Pass, and based on your win rate).

You can use those numbers to plan your Shop purchases.

Conclusion

I think this may be the most similar a repeat event has ever been compared to its previous run. That’s down to the Portal Pulls and Variant in the Shop having the exact same (one Series 4 and three Series 3).

The core positives are consistent:

  • It’s quick to get the new card and you don’t even need to play very well
  • It’s only 800 Gold if you want to skip the event but still get the new card
  • Snap Packs help new and returning players catch up

I would like to see higher-Series prizes among the Shop Variants (to further help players catch up). It’s also a small bummer that they’ve once again missed avatars to match the exclusive variants.

Also I know I’m here to talk about the Economy – but I do really wish the Clash Missions didn’t force so much diversity in which decks I play. It’s nice to encourage some diversity, but I also want to spend most of my Tickets on the teams I enjoy the most.
