What to do with Jack Flag
Everything I Want to try with Jack Flag

Jack Flag just might be the most powerful Snap Pack Series 5 card of the season. He's straightforward Power that has synergy hooks to multiply his effect. Here's everything I'm excited to try with Jack Flag. Jack Flag wants to be in decks that can spread a bunch of buffs around. Luckily, there are plenty of potential partners.
Aurora

I'm really excited for Jack Flag with Aurora. There are other ways to get good value out of Jack, but in an Aurora deck it feels easy and guaranteed. Aurora is absolutely the most promising home for this card and the one I have the most faith in actually becoming competitively viable with Jack in the list.
Aurora 1
Jack can go anywhere, but he makes your Thing bigger if you put them together. Herbie is versatile and powerful here, providing an additional Fantastic target, more buffs, or extra Energy. Cannonball gives us a touch of interaction and Stardust deals with a complementary set of problems.
Aurora 2
Doombots can get even bigger with Jack's help. We have a ton of options on what to play on Turn 3 with this deck, and you should base it on what you're playing against. If you expect tech, play Cosmo. If you expect you need more power, play Drax or Jack. If you need to go wide, play IW.
Spectrum

Spectrum also works well with Jack Flag by handing out wide buffs. We'll need real reasons to choose Spectrum over Aurora's flexibility and Sera might just provide that.
Spectrum 1
Surfer

It's a 3-Cost so Surfer is always a consideration, but Surfer decks have plenty of buffs for Flag to leverage. Some of Flag’s best synergies are found in Surfer decks, like Captain Carter and Maverick. Could Jack bring Nova back?
Surfer 1
Surfer 2
Zoo

Zoo is an archetype that spreads power across a ton of bodies, ensuring that Jack Flag can have maximum impact. Blue Marvel is just a great card with Jack.
Baku Zoo
Blink gives us a super fun potential final turn play of putting M'Baku back into the deck while pulling a big Ongoing or other key card.
Other Fun Synergies

Adam Warlock is probably my favorite under-the-radar synergy for Jack Flag. You can really put your opponent in a vise grip with the following play lines. You're either going to draw or grow.
Nebula ⇨ Adam Warlock ⇨ Jack Flag
Hawkeye ⇨ Adam Warlock ⇨ Jack Flag
Seasonal Theme Deck!
Jack Flag makes Adam Warlock a lot more threatening. Either your opponent tries to get over the top and you punish them with the other Guardians, or you draw into your key cards, including the precious Star-Lord, MotS. Jack Flag + Adam is great for getting your best cards, so I do think the pain have a place in Star-Lord, MotS, Shou-Lao and other decks that rely on a key piece.
Back to the Future
The other dominant card works well with Jack Flag too! Jack can boost Maverick, help Adam dig, or boost a Spider or Kitty after the last turn, putting your opponent in the position to do tricky math quickly that could steal some wins.
Is He Worth It?
Whether or not Jack Flag is the best non-Season Pass Series 5 card of the season or not, he has very low bust potential. There are some kooky places to try him as well as safe ones. At minimum, he's a great Aurora card and that deck is quite powerful, yet underplayed at the moment.
Below the paywall you'll find a bunch more ideas for Jack Flag, including one more each of Aurora, Spectrum, Zoo, and Surfer! The Aurora list is hot! There are also decks around some of the other fun synergies I identified above. If you enjoy our content and want to support us, consider subscribing!
