What to Do With Fastball Special

Fastball Special is the most exciting stand-alone skill we've had so far, at least from a lore perspective! I think there are a ton of fun things to do with Adamantium Infusion and some really cool play lines. I'll let you in on what I am excited to do with Adamantium Infusion, from competitive combos to the memes of your dreams!
Honestly, this card is so good. I would be able to find plenty of uses for it without the Affliction!
Wolverine + Fastball Special
No list of plays with Fastball Special would be complete without using it to throw a Wolverine at the opponent and have him regenerate more powerful. Is it the strongest thing you can do with the card? Of course not. But fans of lore or players who use the game as experiential storytelling are going to want to pull this play off at least once. I think there's a solid chance that Fastball Special can supplant Deathlok in traditional Destroy builds. It doesn't come with a 5-Power body (or any body at all), but it will often account for more points than Deathlok and costs 1 less.

Fastball Special + Adamantium Infusion on Turn 6
Immediately when both cards were datamined I think everyone had the same idea at once. One costs 4, the other costs 2, we can play them together on turn 6!
But what are we throwing? Red Skull? Nimrod? Typhoid Mary? We need to be getting a secondary advantage from the play. Extra Nimrods seem like the clearest advantage.

Fastball Special is a fun, cheap card that is going to enable a lot of combos, both wacky and competitive. My hope is that it doesn't just become a Nimrod card and that players are still finding new ways to use it months from now.
