Everything I'm looking forward to trying with Dragon Lord
Ideally, you're playing out Dragon Lord, with his considerable 5-Energy cost, to get a massive amount of power into play. For it to feel worth it, we're talking 20+ Power or its equivalent value.
Dragon Lord to pull The Infinaut
At least until Fin Fang Foom swoops in to power creep The Infinaut out of a lot of decks, the classic Marvel Snap big boy will be the primary target.

Shrink Your Hand

Makkari is a long-time favorite card of mine. She can be an extra body in a Silver Surfer deck, is great with Sandman, and I use her as a way to sculpt my hand for effects like Gwenpool or Redwing. Not every Dragon Lord deck or combo will need Makkari for hand-thinning, but she is a powerful tool. Wasp and Yellowjacket make frequent appearances in Lauren's crazier clips for similar reasons, and Dragon Lord has high shenanigans potential. The best way to ensure a low hand size is to just play several 1-Cost cards and not overload on mid and high-cost cards. Dragon Lord decks will need to be carefully crafted for efficiency.
Cheat Him Out, So He Can Further Cheat
Of course, you don't always have to pay Dragon Lord’s Energy cost. There are a variety of ways to cheat him out a little early including ramp, Lockjaw, Jubilee, Iron Lad, or Redwing.

Cheater Redundancy
One of the trickier things about Redwing is crafting your deck and getting your hand small enough that you're not facing a low-upside 50/50. Dragon Lord might not be competition for Redwing – he might be just what Redwing needed! Dragon Lord makes an excellent Redwing target to set off a little chain reaction. Much like how Maverick acts as a sponge for buffs that he can then pass on where you need it, Dragon Lord can act as redundancy for cards like Redwing and Jubilee.

Lord of Discard
Discard builds have some sneaky synergy with Dragon Lord. Here again, he acts as a kind of proxy to make sure we pull the big stuff we actually want to pull. In both a Hela deck and a Khonshu deck you are actively trying to Discard him so you can revive him, though there are some other niche play lines he'll enable.

The Other Moon/Dragon
Dragon Lord has a clearly powerful effect. The key to getting the most out of him will be to make his cost (5 Energy, a deck slot, a board space) worth it. Just getting one random extra card on board isn't going to be enough value for that cost, so you'll need to think big. The other trick is making him more than just a “win more” card that enhances your deck rather than narrows it. Either way, I think Dragon Lord makes a great addition to anyone's collection, whether you're using him in the currently en vogue Chamber decks or you're stashing him away for future combo hunting, it's an ability you want access to.
