Vampire Enchantress: Decks for Weekend Missions
This weekend: meme on your throne.
Here are a variety of decks you can quickly grab to clear this week's Weekend Missions!
Season Pass: Vampire Killmonger
Skillz
Heaps of Skills are great for building up Nicholas Scratch and your Horde (via Zombie Witch). Killmonger already has good scaling, but Joaquin and Venus take it to the next level. Cosmo helps you protect your investments as Shadow King’s stocks are super high right now.
Shou-Wolf
Yellowjacket has long been one of my favorite cards in the game, so it’s heartwarming to see people running him lately! He synergizes with both Werewolf and Shou-Lao – and that second one is important. Try to save Yellowjacket for a turn where you need him in order to play two cards in one turn.
I have opposite advice for Prowler – while it’s nice to get his discounted Skills, go ahead and play him earlier if you haven’t drawn Werewolf yet.
If you don’t have Superior Iron Man, sub in Sasquatch.
Hit-Monkey
This was running Black Swan before – it still could, but Queen of Chaos is probably better. The lack of Black Swan reduces the tension between having a big Turn 5 (for a cheap Sasquatch) or a big Turn 6 (for a big Monkey). You should be able to play a bunch of cards both turns, growing your Werewolf along the way. This is, of course, sensitive to Shadow King, so you’ll often want to attack all three lanes.
Series 5: Vampire Enchantress
Discount Tech
This deck looks like an evolution of the Thanos-Aurora decks from the past couple seasons, but it’s got more of its DNA from Sera Tech. It gets to pack tons of tech at a variety of Costs to support Kluh and Vampire Enchantress. It has tools to deal with enemy Killmonger Spears, Hordes, Limbo, free Skills from Chaos Queen, and Anti-Polar Magneto. Thanos or Kluh discount your hand so you can play multiple cards on Turn 6. A big Power swing from Vampire Enchantress is your generic move on Turn 6 when you don’t have stronger tech answers for what your opponent is doing.
Aurora
This has a lot of overlap with the previous deck, and they could totally swap cards between them. Zombie Mister Fantastic might seem like a weird fit here, but he gets double-buffed by Aurora (having both an On Reveal and an Activate) and also generates a 0-Cost Horde, which supports Kluh and Vamp ‘Chant. Since you’re probably playing a 6-Cost on the last turn, you don’t even need Mobius out to comfortably use Sandman.
I love Stryfe here. Both of your 6-Costs have awesome abilities to copy. This deck makes minor concessions on the Aurora front (with Chavez and Psylocke FF) in order to reliably meet Stryfe’s Objective.
Both Cards!
Zombies
The synergy between new Killmonger and new Enchantress is not especially high, but: Killmonger plays nice with zombies, and zombies run a variety of Costs.
Aurora, Again!
Hear me out. We adapt the Aurora deck above to take Vampire Killlmonger also. Stryfe’s the most fun bit, and Vampire Killmonger works great with him.
It’s too much of a loss to cut our dual-ability 2-Costs, so I think we just have a lower curve but make the deck greedier in other ways. We’ll add Venus and Wong to amplify our buffs and On Reveals.
This leaves us with a decently Powerful deck that’s fragile to tech. I’d call it fine for Weekend Missions, but I don’t know that I’d recommend climbing with it.
