Arena Grande Economy Guide - Apr ’26
A maybe-too-serious guide to Arena Grande. Should you part with 2 Gold? (and how to spend 48 more for all you round-number freaks)
Happy April Pool’s Day to you and yours! Arena Grande is here for a couple days, and it looks super fun! To get into a review of the decks, check out Scott’s article.

Read on to find out if the Arena Grande Premium Pass is worth 2 of your precious Gold! I’ll also cover how to spend 48 more Gold for those of you who want your Gold balance to end in a zero.

Tips & Tricks
I've compiled all the repeating event advice into a single guide. If you haven't checked it out before (or if you need a refresher), I recommend checking it out. You can focus on the tips relevant to this event by reading any section with the Arena Grande logo!

Grand Prizes
The Free Pass contains this new Deadpool emote!

The Premium Pass contains this exclusive Deadpool Variant by Arthur Gimaldinov!

Tickets
The Tickets section of my event economy guide has some important tips about how Tickets work and will explain the terms below – but let’s be real, it doesn’t really matter when you start with 99.
Starting Tickets: 99
Regenerating Tickets: 1 every 8 hours
Tickets Soft Cap: 99 (you cannot regenerate beyond this)
Tickets Hard Cap: 99 (you cannot have more than this)
Free Pass Tickets: 0
Premium Pass Tickets: 0
Total Free Tickets: 104
Total Premium Tickets: 104
Single Ticket Cost: 10 Gold
You do lose a ticket when you lose, so it is technically possible to run out!
Passes
The Premium Pass costs 2 Gold and comes with the following prizes whenever you buy it:
- 20 XP
Here's everything you can find on each Pass (Premium instant rewards listed at 0 XP):
Premium Value
In terms of progress value, this event is an absolute banger: 945.8% progress value.
It’s literally only the Variant that gives any progress value on the Premium Pass. It’s worth 24.2 Credits because it’s primed for the Common → Uncommon upgrade discount.
Let’s be real, though. You should spend the Gold to have a little fun and if you like the cosmetics. 2 Gold is obviously a great deal for the Variant and Borders if you want them.
48 More Gold…
I know some of you prefer your currency balances to be nice, round numbers.
Fair warning, if you spend 48 extra Gold to get your balance back to a round number, it’ll pretty much undo the progress value of the Premium Pass. Credits and Boosters are the easiest way to spend 48 Gold. Depending on how much of that 48 is spent on Credits instead of Boosters, your overall progress value for the Pass drops to 37.8–100.4%.
If you try to upgrade a card when you’re short on Credits or Boosters, you can cover the difference with Gold. 4 Gold buys either 5 Credits or a single Booster. So here are the easiest plans we’re looking at:
- 50 Credits and 2 Boosters
- 25 Credits and 7 Boosters
- 12 Boosters
If you’re looking for a card where you’re low on Boosters, sorting your collection by “Upgradeable” will sort your cards by total Boosters (within the “Upgradable” and “Not Upgradable” categories). Alternatively, SnapComplete makes it easy sort your cards by Boosters (Collect > Splits).
Event shops provide another way to spend Gold in more granular amounts, covering Event currency when you’re short. It’s another option, but you’ll have to wait for an event with a shop to come back (and the value isn’t usually very good).
Time Investment
The event starts on Wednesday, April 1st and ends on Friday, April 3rd (running for two days).
The Pass is so short I expect most of you to have finished it by the time you read this. You could complete the Free Pass by losing 20 times.
As you can see, the Premium Pass saves ~3 games on your way to the Mystery Variant and ~3 on your way to the Emote and Deadpool Variant at the end of the Pass.
Conclusion
I’m psyched to go play with these silly decks! The economy is perfect for a short April Fool’s event. Honestly, I wish we saw Second Dinner have fun like this more often. The Passes are short and sweet, and the Premium is delightfully cheap if you want it.
Unlike most events, I’ll go in for this Premium Pass. I already have a Deadpool Variant I like, but I want the Borders – and to vote with my wallet.
